Nashville Birth Videography & Photography

You Are About to Become Someone's Whole World.

You think you'll remember all of it. You won't. That's why I'm here.

Your Birth Matters

It's not just a birth. It's the moment everything changed.

You think you'll remember every second of it.

You won't.

Labor is a blur of adrenaline and exhaustion

and love so enormous it transforms you from the inside out.

And when it's over … when the room settles and the world starts moving again …

you'll reach back for the details and find only pieces.

The first cry. Was it loud or soft? How long did it take?

Your husband's face. What did it look like in that exact moment he became a father?

The weight of them on your chest for the very first time.

The way the room felt suspended … like the whole world held its breath right along with you.

You will want those moments back. All of them. Every single one.

That's why I'm here.

A woman with long wavy blonde hair sitting on a dark blue sofa in front of large windows with greenery outside, smiling at the camera.

I bring maturity, calm, and intentionality.

What does a background in developmental psychology have to do with birth videography?

Everything.

It means someone in your room who already understands what new parents are feeling before they say a word. Someone who can anticipate the moment before it happens … not chase it after it's gone.

Pair that with 16+ years of photography experience and specialized birth photographer + videographer training, and what you get is someone who moves through your space like she's always been there.

Quietly. Intentionally.

With her whole attention on your story.

That combination doesn't go unnoticed. It's why other videographers and photographers hire me to capture their own births and families and brands like Ancestral Supplements have trusted me to bring their stories to life on camera.

You won't remember me being there.

You'll just have proof that it happened.

Birth is not a photo opportunity. It's one of the most sacred, consuming, all-of-you moments of your entire life. The last thing you need is someone in your face with a camera.

I know how to be in the room without being in the room.

I move quietly. I read the space. I know when to step closer and when to disappear entirely.

My job is to protect your experience first … and document it second.

What that means for you: you get to be fully present for your birth. And you still get every moment of it back.

"I remember her in my ear cheering me on … not a camera in my face."

Your Birth Deserves to Be Felt Again and Again

I've sat where you will sit someday.

Years after the birth, in a quiet house, pressing play.

And I sobbed …not from sadness, but from the sheer weight of a moment I had almost let myself forget. The sounds of that room. My emotions in the first moments after everything changed. Exhausted and fierce and completely undone.

That experience lives in every birth space I walk into. It's why your story gets everything I have. Not just a camera pointed in your direction … but someone who already knows what this film will mean to you in ten years.

  • "We used Jennie for our birth film and it was one of the BEST decisions we made. The photos + film that came back were incredible and will be cherished by our family forever!!!"

    -Madison

  • Jennie has a beautiful way of being a fly on the wall, yet capturing the most stunning photos and videos. She is kind, compassionate, and has such a beautiful, nostalgic style that’s unmatched."

    - Dani Huka, Doula

  • "The experience of hiring Jennie was amazing and life changing. It’s beautiful for us to go back and watch the birth and Jennie captured everything without us really even realizing she was there."

    - Daniel

  • "It was amazing to relive the birth experience via the video she delivered - her cinematic style is beautiful! Can’t believe we captured those precious and fleeting moments and get to look back on them forever. Hard to put a price on this! No one is creating the kind of content she is- don’t hesitate to book her."

    - Piyali

  • "Jennie is masterful at being present with families without interrupting their experience. Her eye is unmatched as she grasps the tenderness, the feel, the spirit of birth. Without being there, you get to witness truly the beauty within the moment. She also has a way of interacting with the extended family and birth workers that integrates her as a part of the birth team."

    - Viergeni White, Doula

  • “She is so passionate and intentional in her work to make sure you relive every moment. Being able to do that is truly so healing and something I will cherish forever. We are endlessly grateful for her!”

    - Sydney

  • "Her energy was supportive, encouraging and genuine to the point we joked by the end of the birth calling her the back up doula. There were so many moments she captured that I was like “I hope she got that!” .. because I remember her in my ear cheering me on rather than remembering a camera being in my face."

    - Sydney

You'll never get
the day your baby was born back.

What I Capture

The moments you'll reach for later aren't always just the big ones.

They're the small ones.

The way your husband leaned his forehead against yours between contractions. The doula who held your hand and talked you through the hardest part.

The moment the room went quiet, and then …. the sound of their cry.

Your baby's first breath. Your first breath as their mother.

The siblings crowding in the doorway, eyes wide, suddenly understanding that everything is different now. The grandparents in the hallway, hands pressed to their mouths, trying to hold themselves together.

I capture all of it. The raw, the real, the sacred. The light in the quiet corners and the meaning in the small things that you won't even notice in the moment … but will treasure for the rest of your life.

Why Not Just Have Someone Film It on Their Phone?

Because your husband deserves to be with you.

Not outside the moment, managing angles and lighting while you need them most.

Not carrying the weight of responsibility for capturing the most important day of your life.

They deserve to hold your hand. They deserve to be the first face your baby sees them look for. They deserve to fall apart with you …not behind a screen.

Birth is sacred. Let a professional carry the camera so everyone else can simply be there.

My Approach

Your birth film isn't a highlight reel set to trending audio.

What I do is cinematic storytelling. I have invested in years of mentorship and workshops to learn the complex skill of deep storytelling.

What you'll receive is a cinematic film … built from intentional sound design, expert color grading, and a deep understanding of how human moments actually feel. Not just what they look like.

When you watch it back, you won't just see your birth. You'll be in it again. The tension of labor. The stillness right before the first cry. The way your husband looked at you like you were the most extraordinary thing he'd ever witnessed.

That's the difference between footage and a film. You deserve the film.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Yes! Most families take advantage of the interest-fee payment plan and make monthly payments for 12 months.

The Full Story package is $250/month and the Milestone Story is $150/month.

  • Getting started is simple. Reach out through my contact form—we’ll talk about next steps and I’ll answer any questions along the way.

  • With modern technology, we are able to capture a lot on phones. When a loved one holds a phone, they aren't fully holding space. They're managing lighting and angles, not offering a hand or a whisper of encouragement. They're outside the moment, not in it with you.

Birth is sacred. Your partner deserves to be there, and so do you. Let a professional carry the responsibility of preserving your memories—so everyone else can simply live them.

They cannot be fully present for you.

It is also a lot of pressure to be responsible for capturing video of the birth, while simultaneously experiencing emotions themselves.

When you hire a birth photographer, you delegate the photos to a professional and let your partner do what they are best at, which is support you.

  • I aim to arrive 2-3 hrs before delivery, around 6-7 cm (all a guesstimate, as we know!) and stay approximately 2 hours after birth. I am aiming to capture all of your transition phase of birth as well as immediately after birth as you have skin to skin, cut the cord, latch for the first time. I will also capture daddy holding baby for the first time, baby getting weighed and measured during their newborn assessment and then if applicable, the siblings meeting their little baby sibling.

  • Absolutely. Personalized planning and outfit guidance is included with every session, which means I’ll guide you on what to wear from those early post-partum days to the 12-month milestone session.

  • I make them as long as necessary to tell the story! Typically they are 5-10 mins but I have made a few that were longer.

  • Yes! I serve families in a variety of birth settings. Reach out and we can talk through your specific plan.
