This family is one of my favorites. They are so laid back and easy going. They have the most adorable laid back little girl. Im so blessed to have worked with them since she was pregnant with baby Kennedy. From her Maternity session, through the first year, and now into my film work, its been one big fun ride.The day was looking like it might rain and have lots of overcast. But it really brightened up and did not rain. It was so great spending a few hours watching them do their normal day to day activities, capturing the simple details of life that we often forget or take for granted.Many people feel their families are too boring for a day in the life photos+film session, but that is literally never true. Each family has its uniqueness and that is what is beautiful about these sessions. You can see that this family did nothing out of the ordinary, nothing extraordinary. They cooked, they ate, they played, they read, they nursed.I am booking 2019 Family Films and would love to film yours!Warmly,

Nashville Baby Photographer | Jude's Documentary Video + Photo Session
Sometimes in my job I get the most perfect scenario. Not only do I get to capture the stage of life that is one of the most pivotal in our lifetime, but I also am blessed to capture people I have deeply connected with. Ashlea and Matt, owners of Herban Market in Franklin, TN have become good friends of mine. I have been a crunch mom for 8 years - before it was cool to be one - Haha! Their little store has become a haven for me and my family. Before they opened, we could only get the quality of food we eat at the Franklin Farmer's Market. But now, if we run out between Saturday's, we can go to Herban and grab eggs or local meat, any local vegetable etc. The best part is, its small and not large like a walmart or whole foods. So, its convenient to run in really quick and grab something. I am Keto and my family is Keto/Paleo (we go back and forth) and so we don't have many restaurants in the area to eat at. Even when we find something really great, they almost always fry in soy/canola oil and thats a big fat no for me and my family. We don't even feel well on this one item alone. I know that I can go into herban for a round of tacos, or a great huge amazing salad. The entire story is GMO Free, all organic, mostly local, soy free - they filter out the bad for you. They have truly given my family the most amazing gift - convenience in a natural lifestyle - which is hard to come by.Times are for sure changing. And even better, Herban Market is EXPANDING to more than double their current space. They will have a full restaurant and I CANNOT WAIT.I suppose I should get back to my original point....I was SO blessed to capture someone I have this deep personal relationship with. Baby Grayson - he's so funny. and he thinks everything is hilarious. He of course, had to eat during his session, or he surely would have melted away. We had such fun capturing his milestone session. Looking back on his first year, which has one session left, I just adore all the films and photos capturing him as he grew and changed. I love making his momma cry every session, with powerful films.

Ashton turned one. Im so sad, because I just ADORE this family. Im sure I will see them each year, but still..... not seeing them every 3 months will be sad. Ashton is adorable as ever. He really performed for his photos and film this session. We had such fun and his personality really came through! The weather was perfect. It truly was one of those perfect days and sessions. The sunset was outstanding. The water was amazing to look at. It was just a very peaceful session. Addison is one of my favorite little people. She is spunky and opinionated. She isn't won over easy, which is my favorite challenge. She and I had a blast during her session! AJ is such a peaceful sweet newborn boy. I photographed him at their home on a beautiful day in Nashville. It was a very quaint simple session, lots of emotive connection during the shoot. His big sister is absolutely smitten with him. I had such a wonderful time and my heart and soul were so happy leaving this in-home documentary shoot. I love capturing their real life. Connecting with them and giving them an emotional set of images that really tells a story. We chatted the entire time and really had a fun and laid back shoot!

Bennett is always such joy to photograph. He is ONE and walking and running! I was definitely chasing him! HA! I love this stage of partial independence and still many moments of snuggles and nursing. You just never get this back. Its such a short time in life! This family is such joy and so happy. Franklin TN Baby Photographer | Enzo 6 Months
Baby Enzo was DARLING for his milestone session. He was intrigued and so happy to be outdoors. I loved working with him and his sweet parents. The weather was perfect. Ingram is ONE. I mean, they just grow so incredibly fast. The fussy days, the teething, and sleepless nights, just go by so fast. I love this time of year, when I have baby chicks at my house. Being able to use them for a few shoots is nice. He loved them and was very curious. I love watching babies analyze their surroundings, and take it all in.

Nashville Family Photographer | Day in the Life of the Jordan Family
5 years ago, my youngest was born. In hindsight, I think this was when my love for films/videography was born. I just did not know it yet. I had a videographer at my birth. To this day, when the song on my film begins to play, I tear up at the first note. When I shoot, I shoot to make people FEEL something. I don't wish to capture "things" like props and clutter etc. I want to capture EMOTION. I want to convey a feeling through imagery.This year, in January. Before I had even found the workshop I eventually attended. I KNEW in my heart, this year was going to be a year of drastic change for my work. Its happening and Im more excited than ever. This is one of my many Heights of my career - Im shifting - into more emotive, documentary work, with still some lifestyle portions too.Wondering what documentary is? and Lifestyle? Lifestyle portraits, they capture emotion but the photographer gives subtle cues. Where as posed portraits, are 100% directed by the photographer. Documentary - the photographer says nothing. she waits for things to happen. These don't usually happen outdoors. They happen inside the home and capture the raw moments. The in between moments we don't always see. The time the baby fell down on his knee and needed a bandaid. Those moments capture pure mommy hood. Pure childhood in their rawest forms. These really pull at my heart.A baby with a pacifier, seems so silly, but when captured just right, to me it speaks and tells an entire story about the time in the life when there was a little baby sucking on a paci. This time is FLEETING. We do not get it back.I definitely wrote more than I planned, and it was all from my heart. Nashville Baby Photographer | Rowan turns 1!
Baby Rowan is the 3rd boy of this family - and Ive photographed all 3! I love them all to pieces, they know me well "Miss Jennie" and they look forward to their session. I may or may not bribe them with organic Gummies ;) But, they never complain about sessions!
They all loved the water, obviously! They were drenched by the end. But thats how I like my sessions: real and fun.

Henry Joel has been such a blessing and light for this sweet family. We enjoyed the weather on this beautiful Summer day in Tennessee and captured all of him! He has so much personality. That year went by so quickly. Mommies and Daddies just don't get this sweet time back. They grow up and life simply changes. Baby Avalee spreads so much joy with just a smile! She's pure sweetness. Nashville weather this summer has been aHHHmaaazing! We really haven't had very hot sessions. Ashton came to his session tired and ready to go to bed! We were headed to the car to reschedule when he suddenly got very happy! Ended up having a fantastic session! You just never know with these little babies. Nashville weather has been amazing. Hardly any sweaty sessions ;)

Grayson has turned into the happiest baby. He laughs at his parents the entire day! Even with a bad ear infection, he was happy for his session (just a tad wobblier than normal). We have had the best summer for heat! It hasn't been too hot and we have had such a blast. The light has been so gorgeous! I cant wait for his mommy to see these photos and the video!
