Stephanie's Glowing Pregnancy | Franklin Tennessee Maternity Photographer
I had so much fun capturing Stephanie's bump at her home in Franklin recently. We grabbed some garments from her closet and got down to business.
I love photographing pregnant women for their maternity sessions. I love doing them in their homes, where its their own cozy space. Capturing the love they and their husband have for one another as they anticipate new life entering the world.
I enjoy getting their reactions when I send their gallery, how much they love the photos and will cherish them forever.
My 3 Favorite Memories from this session ...
#1 I called her husband Eric (his name is Andrew).... I sometimes get so in the zone in sessions that names just leave my brain. I just see photos and composition and lighting and at one point I asked her if she wanted to get Eric, and she replied "sure" and I realized and said "wait, that's not his name" and we both laughed. We told Andrew about this when he came in and I then asked him to pose like Eric would and we all got a good laugh. We are all human and if you want the most zoned in creative from me, I just might mess up your name 😂
#2 Hanging out with Stephanie and Andrew. They are both SO fun and we are all very like minded on various topics. So I genuinely could have stayed for hours! It took me a solid 20 minutes to leave because we would just nose dive into a conversation. I love how this job of mine brings me to people like them and I gain friendships from clients.
#3 Seeing them look at one another, hold one another so easily. You can see how much love and admiration Andrew has for Stephanie - particularly when she is carrying their first born 🥺

It was a tad chilly, but we had tons of fun photographing Lauren's glowing pregnancy. She doesn't know the gender, and I cant wait to see if its a boy or a girl. It will be so fun to watch them turn into parents and meet this little person!

Hallie is an absolutely beautiful baby girl. She has the most precious little features. I loved working with this family in their home. Lifestyle sessions are so sweet and calm. The parents have a decently easy morning getting ready, and don't have to leave the home. I like having a lot of images of mom, dad, and baby together - to show their connection and the emotion that comes with a newborn. I know these parents will cherish these photos for a lifetime.

Baby Addison is ONE! I cant believe it! She's got so much sweet sass. And I feel like her thoughts are a dry humor. She gives us some fun looks. Her personality is so big! She made me belly laugh so much. I cant wait to see her at 18 and 24 months!

Nashville Child Photographer | A boy and Dirt
Greyson LOVES dirt. He i literally always dirty. Ive wanted to capture Greyson (my own 4 year old) playing in dirt for a long time. He is such a nature lover. His heart is so big and he loves all insects and animals. He loves collecting bugs and observing them. Im going to miss this stage, where he's so imaginative (He will always be imaginative Im sure) and playful and just enjoys all things nature. Im so glad Im able to capture this time, as we know it goes all to quickly. I bought these super cool Green pants at Mini boden - I love this store! Nashville Child Photographer | Lane's fun 18 month session
I have been honored to photograph this baby since he was in his mommy's tummy. I adore Lane, he's so fun and sweet and such a chunk! He's growing too quickly. I love this age, they just have such fun manipulating objects (like a wagon or bucket) and they are so into exploring. I love capturing that! My main goal was to capture Lane's boyish adventurous side - I think it worked!

Baby Willow is one of THE most beautiful babies Ive ever seen. I know, thats a weird thing to say, all babies are so beautiful (Its true) but yet each one has a thing about them. Willow studies you. She really sees into your soul, or so it feels. and her face, its just the most beautiful little face ever. She was so good for her session and loved the water and rocks (she may have tried to eat a few - get that baby some minerals HA). I loved capturing Willow and her momma in this special place in Nashville. Such fun.Warmly, 
Nashville Baby Photographer | Leland's 3 Month Session
Leland is always a ham at his sessions. He's so precious and I think he loves my camera <3 His momma and I are fast friends, texting and messaging often. She and I both live very healthy non toxic lifestyles and so we have fun things to share with one another. Im so glad this job has brought me several AMAZING friends! Ashton has fought very hard to nurse Leland and because his lip tie and tongue tie keeps reattaching and his cranial bones need some work, he's latching poorly. But she found Sammy's Milk made from Goats milk and has him on that, which is so outstanding. She's also still pumping as much as possible. I hope she keeps going, its hard work, but this is her goal. Leland of course, is developing on course and doing fantastic. I cant wait to see him in a few short months.Warmly,

Baby Callum was so good for his session, what a laid back baby! These are some of my all time favorite clients, Ive been working with them several times a year for the past few years and we've bonded for sure. I love to build relationships with my clients and help them any way I can. Callum's older sister just loves me - which totally makes my heart melt! She just looks at me and Im a goner :) I am sure Callum will be doing it soon too, he's already winning my heart!

I have been working with a videographer on my new promo video. Im so excited! Audrey was gracious enough to be a model for me during this. I couldn't have dreamed her up if I would have tried! Her red hair with my planned green dress! Gah! She's gorgeous!
3 Reasons to get your bump captured!
#1 You only get to be pregnant with this baby for a short time.
It's going to go by so fast and you hardly even get to process the reality of it all. Only later, will you look back and cherish it more fully! Having photos to look back on will be something precious to you.
#2 Your child will want to see what you looked like pregnant!
Especially if you have a daughter, she will want to look back at what her own mother looked like when she was pregnant with her. She might want to compare how your belly looked to how hers looked someday!
#3 There are no guarantees in life.
Okay, I hesitated for this one, but it's too true to not share. As much as I never speak this over pregnant mothers, you never know how this pregnancy will end. Obviously, the majority of the time, it's a healthy baby at home. But if it's not? This may be the only way to capture this pregnancy and time with your baby. After having friends lose their babies and sister who had a still birth, this is too important to not put as a reason for maternity photos.

Capturing childhood is such a special session. I find it best to let them play or wonder and just capture what happens. Rather than force them to do much of anything. Childhood is such a magical time, the time when the littles believe in magic, have such imaginative experiences, and are still so innocent. This sweet family has a one year old! I can't even believe it! They had a rougher path to pregnancy than most, so Im completely overjoyed that they are pregnant with #2! another girl! I have had a blast photographing LK this year, and getting to know this sweet country family. Lillie was unsure of touching grass but she LOVES to be naked outside! So we grabbed some sweet photos of her nakey self, while its still socially acceptable. Loved the quilt they brought with them, it makes the session even more personable :) This was my hottest session so far this year! We were sweating after the first shot! Thankfully, Photoshop helps so the photos don't show that :) I totally fell in LOVE with this willow tree!Thank you for choosing ME! Im so honored!Warmly,

Chase is 1! So crazy how fast they grow! I feel so honored to have been chosen to capture his first year. This family loves fiercely and he is the apple of their eye, for sure! Nashville Baby Photographer | Henley is 12 months old!
A year ago, I had babies being born left and right. I remember it so vividly, because one of my clients waiting to birth her baby was my best friend. I had babies due in July AND August all born within a few weeks' time. One baby went overdue by 2 weeks, several came on time and several came early. There was a huge red full moon I remember, and then bam. Babies like crazy! Well, a year later, Im getting to photograph them at their one year sessions! Its so bitter sweet seeing them for the last time (for now anyway!). I know many clients will come back next year, and I can't wait to see how these babies prosper!This sweet girl is Henley. I can't. believe it. How does time fly so flipping fast? Chase and Conner are 1! It seems like not long ago, I was photographing their 6 month photos.
