Nashville Child Photographer | Lane's fun 18 month session

I have been honored to photograph this baby since he was in his mommy's tummy. I adore Lane, he's so fun and sweet and such a chunk! He's growing too quickly. I love this age, they just have such fun manipulating objects (like a wagon or bucket) and they are so into exploring. I love capturing that! My main goal was to capture Lane's boyish adventurous side - I think it worked!

Jacey was just too much fun for her session. She LOVED water and was a true fish! At the end she just wanted to keep swimming in the water and seeing the images I took. I loved her audacity and kind personality - not to mentions she's so adventurous. I was excited to see her personality caught on the camera. Meeting her and her parents was such fun!

Amos is so adventurous, He's so brave and unafraid. I loved watching him explore! Boys are so fun to photograph, and they all love sticks and rocks and water (and to be naked!)

Amos is having a baby sister soon. I cannot wait to meet her! And see who she favors :)

Sarah and her precious family just moved here from Alaska. The girls think spring here is HOT! Im so glad we had amazing weather for their session. The girls were precious as can be, and Sarah snapped a photo of Lydia and I having a tea party after the session (its on my instagram). When I saw them again in their home for their ordering session, Lydia was certain I had come for a sleep over! I love kids and winning them over means the world to me. Lucy is shy and reserved and only responds to me when there isn't a camera in my hands ;) She's quite intuitive and smart.Their daddy is about to go to Iraq for 9 months, so it was a very emotional session. I can't wait for them to have him home, Im praying its by Christmas. So if you could say a prayer for this special family, Im sure they can benefit!Warmly,

My favorite thing to do is capture my own children (lately anyway). My oldest, Atticus, has zero interest in being in photos. He despises them and to be honest, photographing him is a complete nightmare. So, I always hire someone to do photos for us :) But my youngest, Greyson, seems to be quite the ham. He's so photogenic and I love capturing him! Occasionally, this leads to Atticus begging me to take photos of him. Which makes this a win-win!xoxo

Nashville Child Photographer | Gorgeous Light

Its a Thursday. and the light is amazing this morning. Its pouring into every window and it is singing to me. My heart sings seeing the amazing light that we get to wake up with every day. The light is just a metaphor, but its a beautiful visual of the amazing thing called life. Im blessed, blessed to wake up to 2 little guys everyday, who ask me to make them breakfast, and snuggle me immediately. Im so grateful that Im homeschooling and get to watch Atticus learn to read and explore ideas each and everyday. Im amazed by Greyson and the new things I didn't know he knew, everyday. Lately, he has been showing me what is in his brain often and its quite remarkable! Im incredible blessed to have this husband who works so hard at being a daddy and husband that it humbles me immensely. I still have no idea how I got here - but I won't let a day go by without staring into the sunshine and the morning light and saying Thank You.xoxoWarmly,
