This family was an absolute delight to work with. Jenn really wanted something very realistic in terms of her session. She wanted her life captured, as she brought a newborn into the family around Christmas. This is their 4th baby. and the siblings were all so in love with baby Ardenne. I spent a few hours chatting, filming, photographing and getting to know this clan. Her youngest daughter above Ardenne, I fell in love with the most, simply because I had the most interaction with her. Her personality is so curious and sweet. She prefers to understand what is happening. Jenn and I clicked very well and dare I to say, we became friends. Her children were so sweet and gentle with the new baby. I can tell their family is now complete.

Filming and Photographing Baby Hall was such a blessing. He had a kidney issue and was delivered early. We waited a little longer for the session, so here is 1 month old. His big sister is head over heels in love with him. And you can see vividly the love in this family. I LOVE their film, it captures this time so beautifully. These sessions are so laid back and sweet. I love being chosen to capture this. Its an honor and I enjoy all of it!

AJ is such a peaceful sweet newborn boy. I photographed him at their home on a beautiful day in Nashville. It was a very quaint simple session, lots of emotive connection during the shoot. His big sister is absolutely smitten with him. I had such a wonderful time and my heart and soul were so happy leaving this in-home documentary shoot. I love capturing their real life. Connecting with them and giving them an emotional set of images that really tells a story. We chatted the entire time and really had a fun and laid back shoot!

When clients look back on their images, years from now, I want them to be sucked back into that time period. The first weeks are so overwhelming. Mommy and Daddy are flooded with emotions from all angles, new struggles, and new responsibility - all while potentially getting very little sleep. Therefore, I believe this time should be truly documented. Im slowly evolving into a more documentary style approach in my work - wanting to draw out more emotion, raw - real life. I want them to remember the shift in emotions between mom and dad. I have truly enjoyed working with Jacky, capturing her pregnancy and her newborn baby girl, Harper! We had so much fun and I just love making a session personable, using the home's environment to tie in the uniqueness of that particular family.
