Nashville Child Photographer | Baby Tyler is 8 Months old!

Sweet Tyler did so well for his session! He is such a sweetie and really HAMS it up! I loved photographing him again this year and can't wait for his next session. His parents are so kind and I have loved working with them. They drove an hour to see me, which means the world! His daddy is a fireman, so using his gear for shoots is so fun. And watching him grow next to them :) I can't wait to see what we do with his next session.

Nashville Family Photographer | 2 Year old Chloe

Ive been photographing sweet Chloe since she was a teeny newborn. She was the infamous baby I first put in Head in hands on a guitar. I still have two enormous canvases of this shot in my studio. Now, she's TWO and mommy is having another baby in January. I cannot wait to meet another baby girl from this sweet family!

Nashville Baby Photographer | Josie is 1 year old!

Time just flies by! Sweet Josie is one and it seems like not long ago, I was shooting her mommy's maternity session. She has always had a lot of personality, even during her newborn session. She was also one of the first babies I started offering first year panels for. Her 3 Month session was amazing. She was such a ham and loves to play! six and nine months was about the same. Her galleries have always produced an over abundance of images. For her 12 month session, she was more apprehensive and going through some separation anxiety. In addition, it was brutally cold. So we photographed at my house, where we could take some breaks from the cold. We had to do two shoots, because it was too cold in the first one. The second one, mommy bundled her up well and she did great. She just needed breaks for mommy to hold her. We even took some on mommy's knee and photoshopped mommy out :D Hey, its all about baby's needs! I won't make babies cry or upset them to get a shot. In the end, she still has a ton of great shots!

Sweet Ava. She didn't sleep long, but she gave me time to get some really beautiful shots. She is one of the most beautiful baby girls. With that hair and those lips! Her skin is perfection. Her images are seriously dreamy! I hope her mommy loves them for years and years to come!

Nashville Photographer | Baby Jackson is 3 Months old!

In June, I had a slew of babies come early. Some were due in July and a few were even due in August. Now, those sweet babies are 3 months old (really, close to 4 months old) but had to come in once they were able to push up on their arms and look at me. Mommies sometimes get antsy because they want shots at 3 months. But if baby cannot push up, it won't be a very great session. She would get a bazillion images of baby on his or her back :) So, we look for certain milestones rather than the age. Its really about photographing them at this new stage than at a certain age. Rather than seeing it as booking 3-6-9-12, it should really be "pushing up", "sitting" and then 9 & 12. Every single baby that has come in has been drastically different from the others. Some have liked it colder and some like it warmer. Some like to be on their bellies and some don't. And they each had a certain body movement that was unique compared to the others. Jackson, prefers to float or fly on his tummy, rather than push up. He puts his arms behind him and makes it so much harder! HA! He is seriously gorgeous. I do try to get smiling photos, but I also want shots of them cooing or "talking" as well as their soulful look. Jackson has a very amazing soulful look. See for yourself :)Warmly,       

Nashville Premier Newborn & Baby Photographer | Olivia's 1 year city shoot

For a long while, I have dreamed of shooting on the pedestrian bridge downtown. It was pure chaos. It took me forever to get where I wanted and I didn't get there at the time I had wanted. We got stuck in an elevator but, once we were up there, it was amazing and all worth it. The sun, the sky, it was all beautiful. I had some amazing light as well. and Olivia was a total champ given all the bumps we had!I adore this family and feel incredibly honored to have photographed Olivia since she was 6 months old.Thank you, Tara and Chris, for everything!Warmly,     

Nashville Newborn Baby Photographer | Echo's Newborn session

I was so excited to meet Echo, especially after he went 2+ weeks past his due date! and just as I predicted, he was about as chill as a baby can get. I figured, since he was clearly in no rush to begin life :) HA!I adored photographing his mommy during her pregnancy and then getting to do her newborn session. She wasn't totally sold on the newborn session - coming out of the house so soon after birth. It meant a lot to me that she did it and I don't think she regretted it :)Also, I have attached photos of her Thank you note she sent after her maternity session.
