Franklin, Tennessee Family Photographer | The Douglass Family
During my time with The Douglass Family, I was filled with joy, happiness, love, laughter and connection. Their home has such a warm cozy, safe to be yourself, feeling. It might seem like chaos, to do a family film with four children. But I promise, it works out! All sessions do, simply because I am patient and know what I'm doing ? Families trust me - and that makes or breaks the session. I have been blessed beyond measure to gain the clients I have. I love meeting new and old clients each year. Seeing their children grow and their family change year after year. Its the biggest blessing and highest honor (as cheesy as that may seem!)
The Douglass Family spent their morning baking their favorite food - they genuinely love baking together. Sometimes other clients say to me "we don't bake together so I don't know how we would do a film" and my response to that is that... these families bake in their films because they bake together regularly. The film and photography sessions are aimed for what YOUR family does together. That's the whole point - YOUR REAL LIFE.
This family had such beautiful and meaningful audio... their laughter on the trampoline and their mother reading to them on the sofa. Sounds that are apart of their daily life. Sound is so powerful.
Our memories deserve sound and movement.
Without sound and movement, the story is not fully told.

Nashville, Tennessee Family Photographer | The Martin Family
I got to spend a morning with The Martin Family at their Nashville RV site. This family began full time RVing across the country a few years ago. They homeschool or "roadschool" their two children and get to spend a lot of time together seeing so many cool places! They have such an amazing story to tell from adopting two children, separately, to now being a full time rv family. You can follow their journey over on Instagram. As someone who loves leaving the rat race behind as much as possible ... I was absolutely thrilled when they asked me to film their family. We took our first RV trip out west last summer and I fell in LOVE! I would totally RV full time if my husband's job was remote! It is so freeing. and we already homeschool :)We captured their favorite book that talks about what it was like to adopt these two precious boys. The book was titled "When God Found Us You" . We videoed a lot of laughter and fun with legos. and then they hopped on their gator and rode to the back of their property. It was an absolutely beautiful day for December! (ps. this post contains affiliate links).I really hope you enjoy this very unique family film! Their photos and video both came out beautiful!

Nashville Family Photographer | The Nicholson Family Film
I am unsure if I say this about every family film I create, but this film is so friggen good. Its a favorite - I just love how the song and the story weaves together to tell this romantic soulful story of this family and how they interact regularly. The laughter takes that story and overflows it with love.Their photography and videography session was simple and easy. They simply played together. It was their typical Saturday. What a simple and yet profound gift to have this on video! We had beautiful fall weather in Chattanooga, where they live in Tennessee. The sun was perfect... as you can see.I hope when their girls are grown, they will watch this together occasionally and feel love soar through them. I hope it brings so many memories back for them. And I hope they can sit down with their own children one day and let their children watch their mothers as children.... how cool would that be?It is an honor and an enormous blessing to make these films for families. Franklin TN Family Photographer | The Speakman Family Film Day In The Life
Lola first emailed me at the end of 2021, to book a family film + Photos session for 2022. She voiced her emotions over time flying by too quickly and needing to capture their life as it is, because it wouldn't be what it is - very soon.
We met on a Saturday afternoon. The weather was beautiful and I arrived to find this beautiful family, new in their journey together, loving on one another so well. I was so inspired by their connection and their effort to be intentional with their lives and time together.
Speakman Family Film
Spending a few hours with Lola and Justin (and baby Rhett) was such a joy. Rhett's laughter and his parent's willingness to do anything to hear it, was so inspiring and made me feel so happy. This is what I get out of filming families; being able to observe other families, stepping into their world and out of my own for a few hours, grounds me and fills my soul. It keeps my own family intentional and grateful.
My favorite parts of our time together was witnessing their willingness to do anything for Rhett - just being so devoted to loving him and making him happy. We also, were able to walk over to the grandparent's house, because they live so close (so jealous!) and see how they love Rhett deeply. I loved capturing all of it. So much laughter and kissing, thats what I hope they remember.
Franklin Baby Photographer + Filmmaker | Welcoming Landon
This family welcomed their second baby boy this summer. Its been a summer of boys! I ADORE this sweet crew - they are so unique in their view of photography and films - they just crave that intimate genuine moment, they have photos EVERYWHERE in their home - even the bathrooms! They are my favorite clients ever (I love all of them hahaha). Let's check out their film first:
Welcoming Landon (Kacey Mills) from Jennie Pyfferoen on Vimeo.
They are the happiest, calmest, sweetest parents. They were so gentle while their older son acted like a typical toddler ;)
We had a fun morning together. Capturing all those sweet moments that will be gone in the blink of an eye.
For this family film and photos session, we started out with snuggles on the bed. We paused for breastfeeding as needed, read books to the sweet toddler. and then headed outside. Outside, they played a game and laughed. It was so fun watching them be a family in this moment in their lives and filming / videoing that - so they can watch it for years to come.
I cant wait to see Landon at 6 & 12 months old - to see how he's changed and how big he is. How he looks at his mommy, daddy, and big brother, and how they look at him.
My boys are 10 & 7. And let me tell you, it is absolute heartache watching them lose their "little"
Thank you for stopping and reading. xoxo
Warmly,
