Its such an amazing job to be able to photograph a woman's pregnancy and her baby. Sometimes, I really believe I could not dream up my clients even if I tried. Nika is ridiculously beautiful. She brought a light blue dress that was perfect in every way. I love the pine needles and how they reflect that the photos were done in late November.We got fairly lucky in terms of weather, it wasn't brutally cold. Her gorgeous skin tone is amazing and makes me eager to see what her baby will look like. This January, I will have been photographing newborns for FIVE Years. I cannot believe it. Its been an amazing journey, one that I never could have dreamed. I posed this baby boy's older sister as a newborn 2 years ago. I love every single client I work with. I love every single baby I have ever held. This job is more than a job for me. Its my soul and I love creating images for parents to treasure for their lifetime. I cannot wait to see where my business goes in the next 5 years. Amanda acted coy, but somewhere inside, she MUST know how gorgeous she is! That light only accentuated it :D In 2014, I began offering more than just maternity and newborn. I offer first year and family, etc. I also have begun photographing older children as well. If a client signs up for certain first year collections, I offer them a complimentary 30 minute maternity session and the ability to purchase a la carte. Nashville Baby Photographer | Axl's newborn Session
Baby Axl decided to arrive 5 weeks early. But she's a fighter and very strong and is doing quite well! I was born 5 weeks early as well, and she and I share a birthday! So, she was such a special newborn client :) I LOVED working with her mommies and I hope they fall in love with her all over again in the photos we captured during her session. She was not very newborn like anymore, given she had to stay in the hospital a few weeks. But even with the short amount of images, they sure turned out amazing!
